Privacy outline and refresher

Victorian government organisations must protect personal information by complying with the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (PDP Act).  But what is personal information and what does the PDP Act require your organisation to consider?  Is your organisation affected by the Health Records Act 2001?  What is the difference?

This session looks at:

• what is covered by privacy legislation – personal and health information
• what is not covered
• outline of main privacy principles
• interference with privacy
• enforcement and remedies.

Questions can be asked before, during and after the session, with brief written answers being sent to all participants within 3 days of the session.
